The interesting thing about this photograph is that it is a modern vintage image.  I know "modern" and "vintage" contradict one another.  But it's true.  Each one of the main elements in this picture is from a vintage photograph.  The woman in the bathing suit was from a 1930's shoot and had become a Royalty Free Image.  The explosion in the background was from the Bikini Atoll Hydrogen Bomb Test in 1954.  The book pages were from around 1919.  I collaged all of the elements together, fusing it, to create this new image from old pictures, making it a modern vintage image.
